How to clean shoes that turned yellow. Take the magic eraser and dip it in water. Try a small amount of murphy s oil on them. You can also use lead powder if your white shoes turn yellow seriously. Use a dye free bleach to avoid yellow stains and make sure you rinse the shoes off with clean water after applying the bleach solution. Unfortunately some white shoes begin to turn yellow after they are washed.
Hydrogen peroxide works well on plastics that have turned entirely yellow instead of in just one spot. Soon your white shoes will get a new look. Dilute the bleach with 1 gallon of water. Rub the areas where yellowing has occurred with the magic eraser. It should be damp but not soaking wet.
Use a clean toothbrush or paintbrush to brush the paste onto the canvas. Bleach can be used to clean the yellowish tinge in the shoes very easily but using bleach directly can cause more harm to the shoe than clean it the bleach should be mixed with five parts water before using. In a small bowl combine 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1 2 tablespoon each of hydrogen peroxide and water. Fill a plastic bag with enough hydrogen peroxide to cover the plastic. Hydrogen peroxide on the other hand acts like a brightening and cleaning agent being non toxic it is safe to use and apply.
First place your shoes in the sudsy water to soak while you work. Wait 3 4 hours before rinsing it off with clean water. White shoes need to be cleaned more often than colored shoes because they easily show dirt and scuff marks. You will be left with a slightly less noticeable yellow stain but hopefully not too many. This is especially true of tennis shoes.
Rinse the white surfaces by wiping them off with a damp cloth then dry with a clean one. Wet them first then scrub the murphy s oil on them. Put your shoes in the sink and scrub the stains with a toothbrush. It will lift some of the stains but not all of them. To remove stains combine an equal amount of baking soda and water to create a paste.
