How To Use Can Opener Tool
You can use a can opener blade like the ones on a pocket knife to open up a can.
How to use can opener tool. It is a simple process and i demonstrate myself opening a can of tuna as part of the tutorial. Hold the can steady and rock the handle of the knife back and forth to start cutting along the can. Place it under the outside lip of the can. Well with a little multi tool lever you can open a can. Place the curved knife point of the opener on the right side of the can at the edge of the lid near the rim.
Now you have to angle the blade towards the edge. Unfold the opener blade and puncture the lip of the can with the tip of the blade. Slant down the blade into the lid so as to puncture the top part of the rim. Once you see the hole then you are half done. Angle the blade slightly so the pointed edge is on the inside of the top lip of the can.
Slant the knife edge so that the pointed part of the edge sits on the inner side of the upper rim of your can. To use a manual can opener open the arms of the can opener and place the metal tooth on the lip of the can. This action will rotate the wheel which cuts into the can. The hook on the blade is your fulcrum or the center of your seesaw. This will align the wheel of the opener where it needs to be to cut into the lid.
Carefully but forcefully puncture the lid with the blade deep enough for guard to rest on the rim of the can. Hold the can opener by the handle with the blade pointing down and the square guard away from you. Press down at the end of blade so that you can prevent slipping off. Continue cutting around the lid until you can lift it up and access the contents. Squeeze the arms together for a secure fit and start turning handle.
